A former Lecturer at the Ondo State Polytechnic (now Rufus Giwa Polytechnic), Lagos Campus, who was nominated on 23rd January, 2018 by Commonwealth University, Belize (based in Central/North America) for award of HONORARY DOCTORATE IN LEADERSHIP in recognition of his professional achievements and contributions to the knowledge world, also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Ado-Ekiti; Professional Certificates in Public Speaking as well as Diplomas in Desktop Publishing and Theology.

 

• BARRISTER AMOS OYIWE, the Legal Adviser of the firm holds a Bachelor-at-Law (B.L) from the Nigerian Law School, where he graduated in 1988. He also bagged a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Benin, Edo State, Nigeria in 1987. Oyiwe was a renowned columnist with the defunct Financial Standard Newspaper for about five years. He is the Principal Partner, A.O & A Law Firm, Lagos, Nigeria.

 

Oyiwe initiated establishment of the Nigerian Institute of Local Government Administration (NILGA); prepared a draft NILGA bill and led a team of local government chairmen to the former Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki to announce his (Dasuki’s) appointment as the patron of NILGA in 1992. Between 1992 and 1997, Oyiwe was involved in joint-venture programmes with the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) and Consultancy Research and Development Centre (Cordec) of the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.

 

He worked as Legal Adviser at Ogba-Egbema-Ndoni Local Government Council,
Omoku, Rivers State, Nigeria between 1992 and 1993. Between 1991 and 1993, Oyiwe was Legal Adviser (East) to Musical Copyright Society of Nigeria. He was a consultant to the Consultancy Research and Development Centre (Cordec) of the University of Port-Harcourt between 1991 and 1998. During this period, Oyiwe assisted in research, organization of seminars, conferences and workshops. He also helped in negotiating contracts with Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC); NAFCON; MAMSER (defunct), etc.
