My brother, friend, confidant, counsellor and benefactor, your premature departure from this world on Friday, Dec 13, 2019 in your apartment in Abuja after returning home from office hale and hearty, remains one of the most disheartening and shocking tragedies I have ever experienced.
I never thought this could happen even 70 years from now.
You were as cheerful and lively as ever when we spoke on Tuesday and Wednesday, Dec 10 and 11.
On Dec 13, 2018 my late MOTHER made final departure from this sinful world. Then exactly one year on Dec 13, 2019, it was your turn. WHY? WHAT A TRAGIC COINCIDENCE?
I am however consoled by the fact that you lived a life of service to humanity; a life of persistent self-sacrifice; a life of unbelievable generosity.
Better still, your rare love, generosity, integrity and benefaction are towering trademarks that will make your sojourn on earth unforgettable.
YOU THEREFORE LIVE ON BROTHER AS YOUR GOOD DEEDS CONTINUE TO INVOKE GOOD MEMORIES ABOUT YOU AND MAKE YOU FOREVER EMOTIONALLY AND PHYSICALLY IMMORTALISED.
